Quick Overview

This wine has a delicate and beautiful peach color with aromas of stone fruits, cherries, strawberries and a touch of citrusy grapefruit and lemon. In the mouth, it's fresh, bright and a touch tart - think chilled on a hot summer day - with Bing cherry, peach and strawberry flavors with a twist of lemon.

Winemaker Profile 2001 was the first vintage for Balletto Vineyards. As grape growers first, Balletto feels strongly that with good grapes comes good wine. It all starts in the field. The grapes are handpicked and only French barrels are used from a variety of barrel makers. In addition, all of the wines go through malolactic fermentation. With the help of consulting winemaker Dan Cederquist, Balletto has produced an excellent representation of Russian River Valley Chardonnay, Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, Russian River Zinfandel and Sonoma Coast Pinot Gris.
